Rustic Drink Coasters

These drink coasters are simple to make and can be completed about 30 minutes or less. They are made of a single Yellow Pine 1×4. The nominal dimension of a 1×4 is 3/4″ thick and 3 1/2″ wide. So, I cut them to a length of 3 1/2″ to make them square. I used a palm router to add a small round over on all edges and sanded the factory mill gaze off. I them stained them using Dark Walnut wood stain. Once the stain dried, I sprayed them with lacquer. After everything had dried, I installed some small furniture pads to the bottom.
