Farmhouse Style Kitchen Cart
This project was inspired by a request from my wife. She wanted a mobile cart for our kitchen to store a blender, crock pot, air fryer, etc. She also requested that it match out TV stand appearance which has a white frame and stained shelf pieces. I consider this to be “farmhouse” style.
This cart was made of 2x4s for the legs and horizontal supports and the shelf pieces are made from 1x6s. I ripped dome some 2x4s to make 2x2s for the horizontal supports and joined them together to the legs using pocket hole screws. Once the frame was assembled, I painted the entire frame white. While that paint was drying I cut the shelf and top pieces to length at the miter saw, and stained the shelf pieces.
Once everything had dried, I installed the shelf pieces and top pieces to the frame using 18-gauge finish nails. The last thing I did was install some wheel casters on the bottom to make it mobile – per my wife’s request.
This project was now complete and is in our kitchen and enjoyed by my wife!
