Rustic Work Desk

This entire project is made from construction grade 2x4s. I made the legs by laminating 2-2x4s together using wood glue and screws. The tops of the legs have bridal joints cut into them that accept the front-to-back stretchers as well as the side-to-side runners that support the table top. The table top is 2x4s also and they are joined together using pocket hole screws on the bottom side. I cut the bridal joints using my band saw to remove the bulk of the waste, and a chisel and mallet for the cleanup and detail work. After the entire project was assembled, I stained the desk with Dark Walnut wood stain

The project was then complete. I did not put much effort or time into making this desk pretty or visually appealing. It is a desk that I use in my shop so my main focus was durability and rigidity.
